Course Description
This training course goes beyond the fundamentals of facilitating PHA covered in Primatech's courses, PHA for Team Leaders and PHA Essentials for Team Leaders. It deals with more advanced issues.
Attendees participate in instructor-led workshops to gain experience using advanced PHA methods to be able to apply them in studies.

- How to ensure the competence of PHA teams
- Techniques for addressing weaknesses in PHA methods
- Characteristics of control systems and their failures
- How to perform PHA for computer control systems, including CHAZOP
- Meaning and importance of domino effects
- Guidelines for addressing domino effects in PHA
- How to perform a PHA on batch and non-steady state processes
- Steps for conducting PHA on procedures
- How to identify and manage reactive chemical hazards
- Steps to address reactive chemical hazards in PHA
- How to perform a PHA using major hazards analysis (MHA)
- Use of PHA with LOPA and IEC 61511 / ISA 84

Credits
For streamed deliveries, 1.75 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) or 17.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are awarded.
