How to Assign Nodes in HAZOP Studies
This training is offered as an eLearning course for individual registration
1.5 to 2 hours | $199
Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies are performed by companies to manage process risks. A key aspect of these studies is the subdivision of the process into sections, or nodes, for study. Proper node assignment helps to avoid omitting scenarios from studies, complicating the work of the study team, and spending more time than necessary performing a study.
This course provides guidelines for assigning nodes so that these problems can be avoided. It is intended for practitioners who are new to HAZOP studies and those who need a refresher on the latest approaches. Attendees receive an electronic copy of the technical briefing materials.
What you will learn:
How to choose an optimal number of nodes
How design intent influences node assignment
What not to node
Guidelines for assigning nodes
Who Should Attend
Facilitators and team members for PHA studies.
Prerequisite
Knowledge of HAZOP is useful.
Average Duration
1.5 - 2 hours
